English and Music day Kinder

El Viernes 21 de Enero tuvimos el English and Music Day en el colegio. Los países participantes este año han sido Estados Unidos, Inglaterra, Escocia, Irlanda, Australia y Canadá. Los niños han venido disfrazados de vaqueros, indios, caballeros y damas ingleses, este año hemos tenido incluso algún escocés y un representante de la guardia real inglesa.

Nuestros niños de 1º de Educación Infantil escucharon un cuento sobre Nessie, el monstruo del Lago Ness, y luego realizaron una actividad artística relacionada con él. También jugaron al memory con las banderas de los países participantes.

Los alumnos de 2º y 3º de Educación Infantil vieron una presentación de Power Point con fotos de los países participantes y jugaron a un bingo con esas mismas fotos. También escucharon un cuento sobre un alce que se pierde y realizaron una careta de un alce. Luego jugaron a un juego típicamente inglés de serpientes y escaleras.

Para comer tuvieron perritos calientes con patatas fritas y merendaron cookies inglesas.

Para finalizar el English Day, seis niños de 3º de Educación Infantil representaron la obra “Ricitos de Oro y los tres ositos”, e inmediatamente comenzó el Music Day con cuatro actuaciones de los niños de 3º de Educación Infantil y después continuaron con el espectáculo las niñas de Primaria. Los niños de 3º volvieron a actuar al final del día para sus padres en el salón de actos.

On Friday, January 21, we had an English and Music day at school. The participating countries this year have been USA, England, Scotland, Ireland, Australia and Canada.  Our children came as cowboys, Indians, English gentlemen and ladies, this year we’ve even had Scottish representation and a member of the English Royal Guard.

Our children in Kindergarten 1 heard a story about Nessie, the Loch Ness monster, and then made an artwork related to him. They also played a memory game with the flags of the participating countries.

Our children in Kindergarten 2 and 3, watched a power point presentation with pictures of the participating countries and played a game of bingo with the same pictures. They also  heard a story about a moose that gets lost and made a moose mask. Then they played Snakes and Ladders.

For lunch we had hot dogs and fries, and for tea we had English cookies!

To conclude the English Day, six children in Kindergarten 3 represented the story “Goldilocks and the three bears”, and afterwards Music Day started with four performances of Kindergarten 3 and then Primary continued with the show.  At the end of the day, the children in Kindergarten 3 did the show again for their parents in the conference room.
