Last week Orvalle enjoyed a visit from five students from Oakcrest School in Washington DC as part of our International Exchange Programme. The girls whose ages ranged from 13 to 16, grades 8 to 10 (2ºESO to 4º ESO) had arrived on August 22nd to stay with their host families and enjoy the end of the summer vacation with them. They then came to school on September 12th with their exchange friends: Fátima LLorente, Almudena Soto-Largo, Ana Alum, Lucía Blanco and Nuria Olmedilla.

Devon, Caroline, Ruth, Maura and Mary Lou attended classes and took part in school life like any other Orvalle student and on Friday they gave interesting presentations to their classmates about the experience they had had. Our students were very interested to know what they thought about the Spanish way of life and particularly what differences they had found between the two cultures.

The Orvalle and Oakcrest girls left together last Saturday and the exchange programme now continues in Washington until October 14 th.
